PURPOSE

The worship and media ministries play a crucial role at 1L. They exist for the purpose of glorifying God and proclaiming the Gospel. Several groups of people work together each week to accomplish this purpose, including the vocal team, worship choir, band, and audio / visual team.

 

As we share the love of Jesus Christ with our local community and throughout the world, we desire to equip people to engage and respond in worship through dynamic corporate gatherings and quality media productions, and to encourage people to develop a lifestyle of worship that reflects the heart of the Father in everything they do and say.

 

WORSHIP SERVICES

When we gather for worship at 1L, we seek to focus our minds’ attention and our hearts’ affection on God. He alone is worthy of all praise! Our worship services utilize both modern and familiar elements to provide an atmosphere encouraging authentic communion with the Lord. We believe He is worthy of our very best, and therefore strive to lead with excellence. We also believe that all generations should have the opportunity to participate in worship leadership. At least one time each semester, children will join with youth and adults to lead from the stage in the main sanctuary. These multi-generational worship events are more than just good photo opportunities — they create positive memories of worshiping the Lord that can last a lifetime.
